(BLS) Basic Life Support CPR Recertification Blended Class

In this training class, you receive basic life support training from our certified instructors. You will learn one and two-person techniques for adult and pediatric first aid CPR, AED, and more. “Blended training” means that this class combines an online class with in-person practice and testing to develop real-life skills. This American Heart Association (AHA) CPR course is accepted by all agencies.

This Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Recertification class is intended for anyone seeking BLS certification or BLS recertification in the greater Sacramento CA area. If you have not yet been BLS certified, we recommend our BLS CPR class. The recertification class is intended for present and future EMTs, paramedics, nurses, dental professionals, occupational therapists, lifeguards, emergency response team personnel, and any medical professional requiring re-licensure. It is valid for college entrance prerequisites and is accepted by all California State Boards.

Step 1: Online training

HeartCode BLS is Basic Life Support (BLS) Online training and uses the latest eSimulation technology to enable students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. Utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities, this class teaches BLS knowledge and skills. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation. Once completed, the student will then print out and bring the Online Completion Certificate to the Hands-on Skills Session.

Step 2: Skills Session

A skills session is the hands-on portion of an AHA eLearning class and includes skills practice and testing. It is conducted in-person after the student completes the online training. At the session, the student can review their skills on a manikin and then be tested.

How To Get Started

Register for this class. If you are an employer, email us your list of student names and email addresses. Students will be emailed their link to the online training. We will track the progress and email reminders if needed. Students attend the Skills Session. Students are emailed a link to their certification card.
