Lead Poisoning Prevention
Lead poisoning is a preventable injury. A CA EMSA approved standalone class
Lead poisoning is a preventable injury. This CA EMSA approved standalone class addresses lead poisoning health effects, sources of lead, how to inspect and test for lead, and methods to reduce exposure.
This class augments the Pediatric Preventative Health and Safety class taught prior to June 2020.
Lead poisoning is the accumulation of lead in the body and usually enters the body in the form of lead dust that is breathed in or by eating something that has been contaminated with lead.
There is no known “safe” level of lead to have in the body. Children under 6 years old absorb lead more easily and are more easily harmed by lead and most children who have lead poisoning do not look or act sick.
We can train any of our classes at your location adapted to meet your needs!
