The American Safety & Health Institute® (ASHI) Basic First Aid training is a program that develops basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. Basic First Aid training is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and conforms to the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR, ECC, and First Aid. This class can be combined with ASHI CPR & AED training.
No. The Basic First Aid class covers first aid skills only and is designed for students who already hold a current CPR certification. If you need both, Rescue Training Institute offers a Basic First Aid with CPR & AED class.
This class covers basic treatment of first aid injuries including: wound care, bleeding control, burns, shock, fractures, concussions, snake/spider bites, amputations and poisonings. It also covers basic recognition and treatment of common medical emergencies including: heart attack, stroke, diabetic emergencies, seizures, asthma and severe allergic reactions.
